Yum! University is an incredible global learning system for making Yum! Brands a defining company in developing great leaders at all levels and creating a “why would you want to work anywhere else” culture! YU’s mission is to “build the Yum! Dynasty and change the way people work” by providing them with the skills, approaches, and tools to lead and manage their part of the business. Through a global, yet localized delivery structure, employees have the opportunity to come together to build and share know how, build relationships, and build people capability that drives performance and results. The courses and workshops offered are organized into four broad categories:
- Culture Excellence courses are intended to provide a broad and deep understanding of our culture and business environment.
- Functional Excellence courses support our “RGM #1” philosophy and help us Run Great Restaurants.
- Professional Excellence courses are intended to help a learner develop strong foundational skills in different skill areas, regardless of one’s level.
- Leadership and Management Excellence courses support our belief that all employees are leaders, and are intended to provide them with the know how to inspire and drive great performance in themselves, others, and the business.
Through courses provided in these areas, we work to drive and reinforce a consistent vocabulary, models, and set of tools around the world.
